LED Tape Light
Do you remember incandescent rope light? That plastic coiled clear rope with small dots of light every inch. Of course, it’s still available at Target in orange during Halloween and the standard warm white version you can still find hanging underneath the bar at your local hole-in-the-wall watering hole. Like all incandescent light, the light dimmed over time, had hot spots even when concealed, and once it went out that was it. Thank God for LED tape light!

Ehow has a great article covering the basics of saving money on your lighting bill. This article mentions fluorescent lighting as a replacement for incandescent lightbulbs. Keep in mind, that LED bulbs are becoming more cost effective and the lumens are getting just as good.
DIY Installation of a Ventless Gas Fireplace

This eHow article covers the installation of a ventless gas fireplace. Personally I don’t see why all this work is needed. Just check out Brasa’s ventless fireplaces and be finished with it in 10 minutes. Plus it uses bioethonal, which is clean and renewable.
