Lightfair International 2012: The SmartLedFlex

Having just returned from Lightfair International, we’re continuing our recap analysis.
Another great product found is one that is manufactured by newcomers (at least to the States) Grupo MCI straight out of Barcelona, Spain.

Their SmartLedFlex is a flexible LED linear product suitable for both interior and exterior use; although its applications are endless, this unit is ideal for highlighting the architectural features of buildings, bridges, and other structures.

Here are some of the features on this product deemed a flexible masterpiece by their makers:

  • 100 lm/m
  • IP66
  • One power supply needed every 10 meters
  • Round or square shapes
  • Seven solid colors as well as an RGB
  • Homogenous light without visible dots
  • Low voltage
  • UV protection

Although this product has been used in many projects throughout Europe, you may have to wait until possibly the end of this summer to see it because is currently going through UL Testing for certification.
