If you happened to have walked through the back room of the Luhring Augustine Gallery in New York City in 2010, you may have encountered the Massachusetts Chandelier by the Swiss artist Pipilotti Rist. Created with underpants collected from Pipilotti Rist’s family and friends, the Massachusetts Chandelier’s soft lights glowed from within the chandelier while colorful video projections played on its surface (scroll down to watch the video).
