Arteriors 52 Bottle Vintage Chandelier

Over the years designers have been experimenting with what they could do with glass bottles. New designs have opened up a whole new world of glass bottle lighting sculptures. The lighting company Arteriors Home has had some involvement. Here are two examples of what they have accomplished via a metal frame, a light source, and 52 vintage bottles.

The Glowing Faux Tree: D + I Floor Lamp

The D + I Floor Lamp was made is France by Presse Citron. Mimicing the shape of a real live tree trunk, the designer used polyethylene to create the D + I Floor Lamp’s exterior and fluorescent lighting for the internal light source. The four foot tall height of this floor lamp makes it just about perfect for most rooms and even your favorite summer cabin.

Hilden & Diaz Forms in Nature Chandelier

This chandelier exhibits influences from nature and maybe even H.P Lovecraft’s fantasy worlds. The Forms of Nature Chandelier by Hilden & Diaz drew its inspiration from the drawings of Ernst Haeckel, the German biologist, naturalist, and philosopher.

Markus Johansson’s Glowing Octopus Lamp

Little is known about the deep sea creature the Cirrata octopus. These soft-bodied, semi-gelatinous sea animals lay deep beneath the sea and exhibit characteristics similar to regular octopuses. They use their irregular fins, sometimes complicated web and a relatively large, single internal shell to navigate and explore the magical environment of the ocean’s floor.
